Welcome to Rocky River Elementary School! I am excited to be a part of the Roadrunner community and look forward to getting to know each of you. I joined Cabarrus County Schools in 2012 as an Assistant Principal at Harris Road Middle School and most recently served as the Principal at R. Brown McAllister STEM Elementary School from 2016-2020. Prior to joining Cabarrus County Schools I taught at Davidson Elementary School in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools and served as an Assistant Principal at Forestview High School in Gaston County. I received my bachelor’s degree from the University of Mount Union and my master’s degree from Gardner-Webb University. I am originally from Bellaire Ohio but have called North Carolina home for the last 17 years. I live in Concord with my husband, son and dogs. Some of my favorite things include sports (the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburg Steelers are my favorites), camping, reading, running and spending time with my family. I am looking forward to a great school year building relationships with our staff, students and families. I am super excited to be a part of the Rocky River Family! I began my teaching career in 2006 as a Spanish teacher at Jay M. Robinson High School, where I also served as the Student Council Advisor. I transferred to Norwest Cabarrus High School in the Fall of 2011, and then to Mount Pleasant High School in the Spring of 2012 where I taught Spanish and served as the Student Council Advisor. I received my bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and my master's degree from Queens University of Charlotte. I was born and raised in Concord, NC and currently live in Kannapolis. Outside of school, I enjoy going to the gym, being outdoors, and spending time with my wife, two sons, and two dogs! I am looking forward to a fantastic year!
Assistant Principal: Mrs. Amanda Price

Mrs. Price graduated from University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Elementary Education. She started her career teaching 2nd grade at Cox Mill Elementary, then furthered her career at Harrisburg Elementary teaching 2nd grade and was an interventionist. Beginning in 2018, Mrs. Price was a lead teacher for 2nd and 3rd grade at W.M. Irvin Elementary. In 2020, she began her journey in School Administration as part of the North Carolina Principal Fellows. Mrs. Price is married and has three boys. She is very excited to begin working with the Roadrunner family!

Hello Roadrunners! I am so excited to join the Rocky River family as one of your assistant principals. My teaching career began in 2005 where I taught 2nd grade in Tampa, Florida. I moved to North Carolina in 2007 and taught in Kannapolis City Schools for several years before making the switch to Cabarrus County in 2013. In Cabarrus County I have taught at Odell Primary and was the MTSS Coach at Irvin Elementary. I received my bachelor’s degree from Youngstown State University and my master’s degree from Queens University of Charlotte. I grew up in Youngtown, Ohio but have called North Carolina my home for the last 16 years. I currently live in Concord with my husband, 2 children, and 2 dogs.
