As we step into the final month of the year, we are filled with gratitude for the amazing community we have here at Rocky River Elementary School. December is a time of celebration, reflection, and togetherness, and we are excited to embrace this festive season with our students and families. From special classroom activities to school-wide events, we look forward to celebrating the achievements of our students while building a sense of belonging and holiday cheer. We wish you and your family a wonderful holiday season filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

General Information
  • We want your feedback! Please share your thoughts on the new progress report and report card format here.
  • We hope that you will. be able to stop by our first Parent Showcase of the school year. K-2 parents are invited into classrooms Tuesday, December 3 from 9:00-10:00 and 3-5 parents Friday, December 6 from 9:00-10:00. Our Roadrunners are excited to share some of their learning with you!
  • Our December reading bingo challenge is underway. We can't wait to see how many reading challenges our Roadrunners complete! Prizes will. be available for Roadrunners who get BINGO. Cards are due to Mrs. Boyer in the media center 12/20.
  • There will be no school for students Monday December 23-January 3 due to winter break.
  • The holiday season is just around the corner, and we're planning a special luncheon to celebrate our staff. To make this event a success, we need your help!Please click on the sign-up link here to contribute items for the luncheon. Every little bit counts, and together we can show our appreciation for all the hard work our teachers do throughout the year.
 
Transportation Information
  • We take the safety of our students and drivers very seriously. Please take some time this week to review the bus conduct rules with your bus riders. We all need to work together to ensure the safety of our students, drivers, and everyone on the road. You can review the bus conduct rules by clicking the button below.
  • We have private groups on Parent Square for each bus at RRES. If you have not joined your child's bus group yet, please click the button below. Bus notifications and updates will ONLY be sent to your child's bus group.

Hilbish Ford Teacher of the Month
Cabarrus County Schools is fortunate to partner with Hilbish Ford to recognize the amazing educators across our district! Each month, an outstanding Cabarrus County School teacher receives a plaque and a monetary gift from Hilbish Ford to honor their excellence and dedication.

We would love to see some of our Roadrunner teacher recognized. If you have a teacher you would like to nominate complete the form found here.
