February Family Newsletter

Welcome to February! February is a month full of learning, kindness, and celebration at our school! With Valentine’s Day around the corner, we encourage our students to spread kindness and friendship in meaningful ways. Thank you for your continued support in making Rocky River Elementary School a nurturing and inspiring place for all!

The Love of Literacy Committee at Rocky River is planning activities across our school the week of March 3rd for Read Across America week. One of the activities we are planning is to have mystery readers visit classrooms on Tuesday, March 4th. We would love to invite you to come and read to our Roadrunners!  

 

If you are available, please complete the google form found here. A staff member will be in touch with you to confirm the time of day and grade level that you will be reading to. The classroom teacher will also provide a book for you to read. Please reach out to me or Shannon Bledsoe (shannon.bledsoe@cabarrus.k12.nc.us), the chair of our Love of Literacy committee, with any questions.

Cabarrus County Schools is fortunate to partner with Hilbish Ford to recognize the amazing educators across our district! Each month, an outstanding Cabarrus County School teacher receives a plaque and a monetary gift from Hilbish Ford to honor their excellence and dedication.
